How Edgar's Hot Sauce uses the information you share with us.
Orders
When you place an order we collect your name, email, shipping address (unless you choose local pickup), cart contents, and payment status. Card details are handled by Square and never stored on our servers. We use this information to fulfill your order, send receipts, and prevent fraud.
Email specials
If you subscribe to our email list, we send promotions, restocks, and discount codes. Signup is optional. We use double confirmation: we only mark you as subscribed after you click the link in the email. Every promotional message includes an unsubscribe link. Checkout email is used for receipts whether or not you join the list.
Back-in-stock alerts
Restock alerts are separate from the newsletter. We send one message when that sauce returns, then delete the signup.
Referrals
After a paid order we may email you a personal referral code so friends can get a first-order discount. We store codes and qualifying orders so we can apply rewards fairly and block self-referrals.
